Well everyone, been a few busy weeks, sorry I haven’t had much time to update, our embroidery business and normal Day Job has been keeping me so busy. So here’s my update

Debt Settlement - no lawsuits yet! That’s good news.. still waiting to see something in the mail from Citicard I’m sure they will be sending me something soon. So Chase card #1, made one $1600 payment, next payment will be made 10/14 then two more to go and this card will be complete. Chase #2 - they have been calling and calling like crazy, they tried to work something out but wanted me to make $450 dollar payments. Told them this wasn’t possible with me working on paying the other card I have with them. Then they called a few days later and low and behold now somehow they can accept $200 dollars, so I might try to start paying them that, and keep putting other money away to settle with them later, but this will buy us some time. BoA - surprising, they haven’t called me since I told them I wouldn’t have any funds until Nov/Dec. So if they do I’ll try and do the same with them.

This is a stressful process but I’m trying to keep my my spirits up. I know this isnt the end of the world, and I can only do so much, but I must say I dream of the day when all my debt is gone. Didn’t really dream of that before, but now through this, I’m starting to see how tied we were to debt and stuck in this rut. It’s been years and I can’t even remember when we didn’t have any debt. So it’s time to change this.

As to the house - it’s not looking good, haven’t had any showings so I’m afraid this might go into foreclosure. But we really need to down size our lifestyle and reduce everything so I believe this is our only way. Right now my goal is to do everything possible to be out of debt in less than three years. That’s going to be tough even with the reduced house payment. Hopefully nothing changes with my job. If I can at least stay at my current earnings and then get something else going on (might have a part time job in Nov/Dec I have an interview in Oct) then maybe we can meet this. My hubby is also going to have to get another job, even though our embroidery is picking up, he needs something else.

Debt settlement - $30875 - (does not include the payments I’ve arranged with Chase )

So like I said a tough road ahead but I’m working at it!

Hello everyone, sorry I’ve been MIA for awhile but it has been crazy. Wanted to do a quick update, I did settle the one Chase card for 65% that’s the lowest they would go and I want to start making some progress, so I agreed. I did get my letter and they are letting my pay this over 4 months. I have made my 1st payment, so 3 to go and then one card is done! so that one is in the works. Now my house is up for sale and I’m working on snowballing some of my smaller debts and then hope to work toward the larger ones that aren’t included in my 4 cards I’m trying to settle. I’ll provide my new debts list later when I have some time to post everything but just wanted to let my faithful readers (I think I have 2 now! LOL) know I was still around.
